Join the ASCE San Jose Branch for their quarterly luncheon. The October Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 11:30AM to 1:00PM at the Mott MacDonald San Jose office.

Meals for our October Luncheon will be catered by CRUST – Sourdough Deli and include your choice of a Sandwich or Salad Box. Both options include chips and a cookie.

Please review the sandwich and salad selection and provide your selection of sandwich and/or salad under meal preference below.

Presentation Description
Bart Silicon Valley Phase II – Project Update

VTA’s BART Silicon Valley Phase II Extension (BSVII) Project is a six-mile, four-station extension of the regional BART system from Berryessa/North through downtown San José to the City of Santa Clara, serving 55,000 weekday riders. The BSVII Project includes a six-mile extension from the existing Berryessa/North San José BART Station, with three underground station platforms, one ground-level station, and a new maintenance and storage facility.

About the Speakers

Jane Horvath, PE
Design Lead

Jane Horvath is a Principal Project Manager and Professional Engineer with 17 years of experience, specializing in design and delivery of rail transit infrastructure projects.  She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley, and has worked on projects across the US and Canada.  Her background is in structural engineering of bridges and underground structures.  However, for the past 10 years, she has been focused on multidisciplinary design leadership and project management for transit megaprojects such as BSVII in the Bay Area and Regional Connector in LA.  Jane currently serves as design lead for the BSVII project, coordinating the track, heavy civil, and tunneling aspects of design.  She has been a member of ASCE since college, and previously served as president of ASCE LA YMF.
