The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) San Jose Branch, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, seeks your support for our annual Student Scholarship Essay Contest. The program’s purpose is to provide support to civil engineering students in the Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey counties. Past participation has included students from San Jose State University (SJSU), Santa Clara University (SCU), and Stanford University. The San Jose Branch is dedicated to empowering the next generation of civil engineers by fostering creativity, fresh perspectives, and a commitment to the field through our creative essay prompts. Your contribution will allow us to reward the most exceptional essays and help deserving students in their academic journey.

The Student Scholarship Essay Contest would not be possible without the support of local civil engineering firms, agencies, and individuals. Your support can come in the form of a scholarship donation which will directly fund a scholarship or in the form of a sponsorship which will fund our awards banquet. Sponsorships received in excess of the cost of our banquet will automatically be rolled over to provide additional scholarships.
